Ever wondered what goes on at the West Hills Social Commons, how to become a member or what activities are available? These programs and events are designed for active adults who are age 50 and older who want to have fun and meet new people. Members are invited to participate in a broad spectrum of offerings that provide social, enrichment, health and fitness programs and bus trips. Benefits of membership include free or reduced programing options, discounts to local businesses and new opportunities to connect with others. Every week, several programs are offered including strength training, cribbage, yoga, bowling, book club, quilting and many more! The group also takes monthly trips such as wine tours, boat rides and going to plays and sporting events. Annual memberships are valid January through December for a fee of $40. The Elvis Show: September 11
Location: Ives Theater, Bloomington MN
Performer Joe Sir captures the legendary essence of Elvis Presley from his edgy, rich voice to his looks and moves. This tribute to Elvis is much deeper than just entertainment – it tells a story. Showcasing songs from all the different periods of Elvis’s career including his ‘50s hits, songs from his movies and his record-breaking years in Las Vegas. This Elvis Show pays tribute to one of the greatest entertainers of the 20th century. Lunch is included.

The Church Basement Ladies in Plowin’ Thru: September 28

The Church Basement Ladies are at it again. In the ninth installment of the highly successful series, the year is 1975 and everyone’s favorite characters are back! Come along as the ladies don their polyester pantsuits and sing, dance and laugh their way through this hilarious and touching new musical.
