Welcome to the Owatonna Degner Regional Airport. The airport is an important asset to the Owatonna community and a vital economic development tool. It is my hope that all who visit the airport and the Owatonna area, whether for a brief or extended period of time, experience that quality of facilities that makes it truly special. Whether for business of pleasure, I am sure that you will find the airport will accommodate your needs.
The airport situated in NW Owatonna is positioned to meet the growing needs of business and recreational aviation. The primary runway is 5,500' concrete paved and lighted and equipped with a precision Instrument Landing System (ILS). Crosswind Runway 05/23 is currently under construction and scheduled to open summer of 2009. Runway 05/23 will be 3,000' paved and lighted. The airport, viewed as a key economic development tool, increases access to the community and provides a gateway to the national transportation system.

Partial Taxiway "A" Closure from Taxiway "A2" to Taxiway "B"
Dates of Closure - June 1 to July 2, 2009
Aircraft will be required to back taxi on Runway 12/30 between the dates mentioned above. Map showing the closure.
Phase 1 of the Crosswind Runway project started the summer of 2008. The crosswind runway will be aligned 04-22 and be paved and lighted. The construction will result in a 3,000’ x 75’ wide runway that will significantly enhance the safety and utilization of the facility in all wind conditions.
